Babies, toddlers and young kids are like sponges when it comes to observing, growing and exploring their new world. Our programs give you the knowledge and confidence to give your child the best start in life and are focused on the developmental areas that are important in helping to instill them with self-esteem and confidence. TummyTime!™
time on their tummy – essential for good health!
Teach your baby to love “tummy time”! Babies need to develop core (tummy) strength to lift their heads, roll over, focus their eyes, crawl, and even to form speech! Over the course of this unique class, you will learn how tummy time promotes optimal health for your baby and discover creative ways to engage your baby in tummy time activities that are fun and supportive of motor and sensory brain development. Baby yoga poses and activities are incorporated in each class, as well as baby massage and reflexology techniques which promote brain development, lessen reflux/colic symptoms, enhance sleep patterns, and promote bonding between parent and child. Bring your “new mom/dad” questions and concerns to class for group discussion and guidance from your instructor certified in Infant Behavioral Assessment.

Little Sprout Yogis
“baby & me” yoga
This “new parent & baby” yoga class focuses on strengthening the physical, spiritual and emotional bond between parent and child. We will use slow moving, interactive yoga postures ideal for parent and babies 6 weeks to pre-crawling. Class will also include concepts of infant massage and swaddling to ease the transition from womb to world for both parent and baby and gracefully carry you through the first busy months of caring for a new baby.

This joyful class of musical play incorporates songs from all over the world emphasizing many different cultures. The use of simple musical instruments and free expression dance encourages tempo and rhythm awareness. Singing, rhythmical music games and finger-play enhance the development of your child’s cognitive, motor, and memory skills and promote freedom to experiment all the wonders of sound, improving listening skills, concentration, and self-esteem. Baby yoga and interactive play activities abound in this fun class for pre-crawlers! Emphasized is the importance of floor time, positioning and movement for your baby’s sensory and motor development. Also included are a variety of simple hands-on techniques that calm and nurture your baby. Each week our infant behavioral specialist will share specific techniques to promote your baby’s awareness and thinking skills, as well as activities to promote the mind-body connection, all through “play”!

Movers & Shakers
facilitated crawler development play
Now that your child is able to hold their head up, roll, and sit without support, it’s time to get movin’! In these weekly sensory “play” classes our developmental specialist will share activities and techniques to enhance your child’s cognitive skills and motor development, providing you with hundreds of simple and tangible activities that you can take home to have fun with your baby. In each fun-filled class we’ll focus on all the muscles necessary to crawl, pull to stand, and walk, as well as gross and fine motor skills. Babies have the ability to take in twice as much information as college students so come prepared with all your early parenting questions – we’ve got answers!

Music Express Jr.
improvisational music exploration – NEW!
Music improvisation can provide a safe, playful environment that allows children the freedom to explore their emotions and express themselves. For younger children who are not talking yet or just beginning to use words, music improvisation offers an opportunity for self-expression and communication without words – and at the same time stimulating both hemispheres of the brain to encourage skill development. In this unique and inclusive class, led by a music therapist, young children will build upon their current developmental skills and abilities and experience the joy of play as they explore the keyboard, guitar, drums, and other musical instruments along with vocalizations. Our music will be dynamic and exciting – different every time as we create it “in the moment”! Happy, sad, excited, mad … let’s “express” ourselves through music!

Movement is one of our first forms of communication. From their first year, children love to sway, rock, clap, crawl, and climb. Stability, balance, and locomotor skills are able to flourish when children are offered an array of fun motor activities in an encouraging, safe, soft environment. Using music and movement, this unique motor development class will challenge every major muscle group, from your child’s head to their toes, including core strength in their tummies! Join us as we explore movement utilizing yoga, songs and different music styles from around the world through creative movement, dance, and simple musical instruments. This unique movement class for beginners introduces basic terminology and the fundamental movements of ballet, modern, African and creative dance. Dance is not just a combination of steps, but the freedom to express from within, discovering the depths of our imaginations, and gaining an awareness about our bodies and how they can move through space, building self-confidence and self-image. Many styles of music will be introduced as we keep pace with your child’s sense of play, speaking the language of dance by using our bodies to express and communicate our feelings. Mushy and messy creative explorations for the child who loves to get their hands goopy! Children are born scientists: they are naturally curious about the world around them, and learn best through hands-on experimentation. Preschool Prep
schooling readiness – IT’S BACK!
Thinking about sending your child to preschool? This class is designed to help prepare your child for the preschool experience, or act as a supplement for homeschooling families. During this 1-hour class we’ll explore all the skills necessary for beginning school. Each class will include themed “Learning Times”, during which we’ll engage in hands-on learning activities, through which your child will learn pre-reading skills, pre-math skills, writing preparation and practical life skills. Activities are designed to help increase your child’s independence so there will be many opportunities to practice following directions. Woven throughout each class is much singing, rhyme recitation, and dramatic role play. Wow – all the skills necessary for a great beginning school experience with the comfort of your child knowing you’ll be participating in class with them, the perfect transitional experience! Each week you’ll leave with a variety of ways to help reinforce learning outcomes at home. Come! Play! Learn!

Crazy Maze
tumbling with a twist!
Your child will be winding through obstacle courses, developing balance and coordination, and building flexibility and strength during this unique alternative to the traditional gym class, filled with movement, music, learning, and laughter! Developing motor skills at an early age promotes agility, rhythm, and overall fitness vitality that launches a lifetime of healthy habits. Crazy Maze is a joyful way for children to learn about their bodies, develop physical skills, and burn their boundless energy, all while gaining more experience in concentrating, developing higher levels of body awareness, and building self-confidence. Tip Tap Toe
beginner ballet & tap
Leaping like a deer, twirling like a snowflake, or unfolding like a blossoming flower improves balance and coordination, instills body awareness, and enhances flexibility, allowing your child to tap into their imagination, resulting in a magical dance experience! At this age, dance should be about learning to nurture creativity in movement. Promoting self-discipline, -esteem, and -confidence, combined with teaching basic ballet & tap positions and terminology, we provide a positive and creative foundation for nurturing your child’s love of dance. As our trained and experienced musician and dancer leads your child through the fundamentals of dance, she’ll encourage each child to express their own personal, artistic style by weaving the magical component of make-believe into class through the inclusion of a fun assortment of props. As our term comes to an end we’ll tip toe our way through a non-competitive dance recital so family can see how much we’ve all enjoyed our exciting dance adventure!

Self-expression is a natural aspect of young children’s lives, and having a space to freely express themselves supports a healthy self-esteem, self-awareness and confidence. A child must be able to express how he or she feels with freedom and safety. Allowing a child to paint, sculpt, dance, and imagine with freedom and without boundaries, opens their mind and frees their spirit! In a nurturing and playful atmosphere, children discover the joys of music, art, movement, all of which have been proven to provide a healthy outlet for many of the strong emotions that children experience, enhancing their communication skills. FUNdamentals
reading, writing & math exploration
Writing in shaving cream, building marshmallow ABC’s, playing leap frog, making an AB-Cheese sandwich, squeezing out pancake batter numbers, drawing with colored ice cubes, creating abacus waffles! Sound like fun ways to teach a 3 to 5 year old reading, writing, and math skills? Everyday activities provide amazing opportunities to learn “the 3 R’s”, whether it’s working with clay, finger painting, gardening, cooking, or story-telling puppets. Children should never be forced to read and write at a young age, but engaging them in artistic, musical, and imaginative play, and providing a nurturing space filled with literacy- and math-rich activities, children will spontaneously “explode” into writing, reading, and math! Exposing children to different world cultures through music, art, and cooking makes the world a little smaller and reinforces that kids are kids – no matter where they live, what language they speak, or what color their skin is. Through simple games, stories, and songs children quickly learn typical daily words and phrases in a variety of languages, including sign. Utilizing puppetry, role-playing, free expression dance, and yoga we’ll encourage community, kindness, creative ways to avoid conflict, and respect for others. Whether we’re baking aggression cookies, playing community hop scotch, developing a world passport, growing a family tree, eating friendship snacks, painting our feelings, or dancing the language limbo, children will be learning ways to appropriately express their feelings, practice patience, and learn to work cooperatively with others, as well as countering the stress experienced by young people living in a hurry-up world.

Children are born explorers, naturally curious about the world around them, learning best through hands-on playful experimentation. Building a child-size bird’s nest, creating marshmallow moon phases, digging through a fossil sandbox, baking erupting volcano cupcakes, planting a pizza garden, putting on a vegetable puppet show, growing crystals, creating snack maps, blowing wind bubbles, dancing the fishy pokey, cooking rainbow stew, playing body bingo, feeding a litter bug! Can you believe how fun learning about geology, geography, science, and our environment can be?!
