Building Basics
Playing with construction toys has many benefits for young children. It’s critical for reading readiness as it fosters the visual-spatial skills that must develop before a child can learn to read. Building with a variety of materials instills the principles of early engineering skills and provides a natural way for children to learn about science. In addition, children who build with construction materials are exploring math concepts and learning about simple machines. And we make it fun by providing a weekly project done in an encouraging, child-centered environment!
