emotion exploration

Tuesdays, 10:30 - 11:15
Aug. 25 to Oct. 13
2 to 4 years

Dealing With Feelings
Dealing with feelings can be a very scary and frustrating experience. In Exploring Emotions we explore an emotion every week using imaginative play and puppetry. We’ll be creating a Feelings Book, so we can see what a feeling looks like on our faces and ask questions like, “Have you ever felt this way?” and “What makes you feel this way?”.  Then we’ll use dramatic play to act out scenarios that involve that emotion. By exploring and discovering all of their different feelings, children are encouraged to talk about how they feel, learn tools to cope with their feelings, and feel safe and comfortable expressing themselves
